Akvamarin – Jelentése

Aquamarine takes its name from the Latin aqua marinus — sea water — and one look at the stone explains it: a clear, pale blue-green, like sunlight falling through a calm, shallow sea. On this necklace the stone stays uncut, keeping the edges and light the earth gave it, so that every pendant is a small, singular fragment of sea you can wear.

For as long as people have sailed, that likeness has bound aquamarine to the ocean. Sailors carried it as a lucky charm for courage and a calm voyage home; legend called it the treasure of mermaids — or their fossilised tears, wept for lost sailors — and held that the stone lost none of its power near the sea.
