Pyrite and its effects
Pyrite is best known for its nickname, “fool’s gold”. Its glittering golden crystals were often mistaken for gold by young, inexperienced gold prospectors, who were more than once mocked for it by their older and more experienced colleagues.
Although the colour of this mineral may at first glance resemble gold, pyrite is in fact a little lighter and far harder. Its name comes from the Greek word “pyr”, meaning fire, because it strikes sparks when struck.
Thanks to its metaphysical properties, pyrite has been valued all over the world since ancient times: it protects against negativity, accumulates and amplifies masculine energy, and above all helps to find the path to success. In difficult times it can strengthen the will and support the steps needed for personal growth.
