Tanzanite – meaning
Tanzanite is a relatively rare and expensive mineral that can be found only in one place in the world: Merelani Hills, Tanzania. It was discovered in 1967 and named after the country of origin. It is a blue variant of the mineral zoisite and occurs in shades ranging from ultramarine blue to light violet-grey-blue shades.
Thanks to the recent discovery, there are no traditional historical legends associated with this mineral. However, it is believed that this mineral is a very powerful stimulant of mental abilities, especially an enhancer of our intuition. It also helps to connect with our spiritual guides.
From the spiritual point of view, this mineral is also known as the “Stone of Transformation”, which allows us to get rid of depressions, purify karma and move forward with optimism and inspiration. It helps to balance the human psyche on an emotional level, and it is also a great stone to induce a deep state of meditation.
