This is glamour that arrives quietly. The whole character of the bracelet comes from a single stone: pink Botswana agate, known as the Sunset Stone and long crowned the King of Agates for its soft, banded beauty.
Each bead is laid down in fine pastel stripes — the record of layer upon layer of volcanic stone that formed some 187 million years ago, as silicon-rich lava cooled a little at a time. The stone is named for the one place on Earth it is found, the small southern African country of Botswana, and because those layers never repeat, no two beads are ever quite alike.
Indigenous peoples have valued Botswana agate since ancient times, believing it could hold the warmth and energy of sunlight and soothe the mind through darker stretches. Agates in general are known for a steadying quality — inner stability, calm and a quiet self-assurance — and this one is especially loved by women who want to make a change and look for the way forward rather than dwell on the problem.

The bracelet was handmade in the Czech Republic.
