Blood Amber – Meaning

Amber is the fossilized resin of prehistoric trees, found in various places around the world. Its color and structure vary depending on the type of tree it came from and where that tree grew. Around 25–40 million years ago, conditions in northern Europe were ideal for rapid tree growth, and the heat and humidity caused trees to produce large amounts of resin — often as a response to injury to the trunk or branches. Over time, and through repeated cycles of rain, this resin gradually transformed into the amber we know today.
