This Herkimer necklace for women features a natural Herkimer “diamond” — not a diamond at all, but a trade name for a rare, water-clear quartz that grows already faceted, with naturally pointed tips at both ends and no need for cutting or polishing.
These double-terminated crystals form in only a few places on Earth — most famously Herkimer County in New York, which gave them their name, and the Carpathians, where they’re known as Marmarosh (Marmara) diamonds. Each one is completely unique, like a fragment of the earth’s hidden treasure.
The chain is adjustable in length from 46-52 cm, made of stainless steel, and coated with genuine 18k gold using the PVD method for long-lasting durability.
