Ametrine – Meaning

Ametrine is a rare, little-known natural combination of citrine and amethyst within a single crystal, mined in only one place on Earth: the Anahí mine in Bolivia. According to legend, this two-toned gemstone was revered by the local Ayoreo people for some 500 years, though it wasn’t officially documented until 1925. Deposits of this mineral are very limited, and unless new sources are discovered, its value is expected to keep rising.

Ametrine is considered a powerful energy amplifier, combining masculine and feminine energy. From a chakra perspective, it’s said to connect the physical Solar Plexus chakra with the spiritual energy of the Third Eye and the higher energy of the Crown chakra. Ametrine is also believed to carry the properties of both its parent stones: amethyst and citrine.
